What Influences Shifting Cost?

Travel Distance

Local shifting within 10 km in Chennai is cheaper. Inter-state long-distance transport prices are calculated per kilometer, including toll charges and state taxes.

Packing Material Quality

Heavy items and fragile glassware require premium bubble wrap, foam rolls, and heavy carton boxes, which slightly increase the final material quotation cost.

Building Floor Level

If you are shifting from/to a 3rd floor or higher apartment, presence of a working service elevator keeps charges low. Shifting via stairs takes more manual labour.

Shifting Date & Season

Weekends and month-end dates are highly booked. Scheduling your shifting on mid-week days (Tuesday to Thursday) helps secure better rates.
